The ARO is constructed with an anodized aluminum housing and a sealed, enclosed optical system. It operates at 1x magnification and uses a CR2032 battery (one cell) to power the reticle, with long service life reported. The optic weighs approximately 5.56 oz. The enclosed 22 mm objective lens supports a clear sight picture with unlimited eye relief. Brightness adjustment is electronic, and the sight incorporates motion-sensing activation for efficient power management.

Compatibility & Intended Use

This optic mounts to standard 1913 Picatinny / Weaver rails and includes a lower 1/3 co-witness pedestal mount with an approximate 1.63-inch height for alignment with backup iron sights. Typical applications include primary optics on patrol or duty rifles, range and training carbines, and recreational rifle setups where a rugged, non-magnified optic is preferred.
